The animal shelter provides stray holds and adoption services for dogs and cats. Typically, stray animals are held for a minimum of 7 days in order to give their owners time to reunite with them. It also helps ensure the animal is in good health before being placed for adoption. After the stray hold, the animal is put up for public adoption.

Services

Our adoption fee is $30.00 and half price discount for those over 55 years of age. The animal is required to be fixed within 60 days of adoption, as required by city ordinance. If a specific type of animal is not available at the time, a special request can be entered into our “Pets Wanted” binder. This binder is maintained to enable contact with a potential adopter when an animal matching the request becomes available at the shelter.
